River wood can be ideally used as a shelter in the aquarium. River wood is therefore ideal for tying mosses or aquarium plants, which provides an even more natural effect.
Please note: Never boil or treat River wood with hot water. This causes the structure of the wood to break, which will eventually cause the wood to rot in the aquarium. Soaking river wood in cold water for a longer period of time is sufficient to remove a large portion of the brown tannins from the wood.
