It's not surprising that LED bulbs are the most frequently used type of aquarium lighting nowadays. Twinstar's LED lighting can be installed in all sorts of different ways. Like with everything to do with looking after your aquarium, this depends entirely on the needs and wants of your aquarium. To find out what's best for your aquarium, begin by experimenting with your new lights. Start by having your lighting on for 10 hours a day and see how your aquarium reacts. Are the plants growing more slowly? Have they stopped growing? Then you can put your Twinstar lights on for an extra hour. Can you see a difference? Is your aquarium starting to suffer from algae? Then you should turn the lights off earlier. After a lot of experimenting, you'll get to a stage when you'll know exactly how long to leave them on.
