This Bucephalandra genus called 'Ulysses' is still considered a rarity in the trade. But thanks to its green-red-brown hue and slightly wavy leaves, it will soon conquer many aquariums all over the world. The heroic Ulysses is easy to grow; However, some basic needs must be taken into account: Medium to strong light and regular CO2 supply enhance the upright growth and saturated colours; the temperature must not fall below 20 °C. The low growth height of 5 to 10 cm helps the plant stand out and thanks to the strong will to conquer within the Bucephalandra family it is also a perfect sitter.
